ServicesAutomation & PLC Migration — Old Controls, New Life

The single most common reason a relocated line fails to restart — or a good machine gets scrapped — is its control system: obsolete PLCs, undocumented code, unavailable spare parts.

Fabrimove‘s automation engineers migrate legacy controls (Siemens S5 → S7/TIA Portal and other platforms), rebuild I/O and safety circuits, upgrade HMI/SCADA and recommission the line — with the original process behavior preserved and finally documented.

What is included?

  • Control system audit and migration plan;

  • Code conversion and refactoring with functional documentation;

  • Panel rebuild or replacement (own workshop);

  • Safety system upgrade to EN ISO 13849;

  • Drives replacement;

  • HMI/SCADA modernization; simulation and staged commissioning;

  • Operator training;

  • Remote support subscription after handover.

F.A.Q.

Yes. We reverse-engineer the running behavior, document it, then migrate. The as-found state is recorded before any change.

That is the ideal moment: the line is down anyway, so migration adds engineering time but little extra downtime.

Siemens (S5/S7/TIA) as core competence;  Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi,  Beckhoff and common drive/HMI brands via our engineering team — confirmed per project
