ServicesRetrofit & Revamping — 80% of New-Machine Performance at 30-40% of the Cost

New machines cost more and arrive later every year. Retrofitting a proven machine — new controls, new drives, worn mechanics rebuilt, safety brought to current standards — delivers most of the performance at a fraction of the cost and lead time.

Fabrimove executes retrofits with in-house mechanical, electrical and automation teams, plus our own machining facility for parts that no longer exist on any price list.

Compliance note(trust builder, keep on page): Modifications that substantially change a machine’s function or safety can trigger manufacturer obligations under EU machinery legislation (Regulation 2023/1230). Every Fabrimove retrofit includes a documented significance assessment — you will know exactly where your project stands.

F.A.Q.

When the machine base is mechanically sound and lead time or capital is critical — our survey gives you a like-for-like comparison to support the decision.

It can. We assess whether the change is ‘substantial’ under EU rules and document the result — with notified-body partners involved when needed.

Often yes. Drive, control and bottleneck-station upgrades typically release 10–30% capacity; committed targets are agreed after the audit.
